Volunteering Events

We are offering a new volunteer opportunity to members through Atria Richardson, a retirement home that provides independent living, assisted living and memory care services for elderly living with Alzheimer’s or dementia. The volunteer opportunity will be an ongoing, semester-long commitment, with members being awarded MD points based on participation. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to gain service hours and build relationships with elderly patients and residents in a community setting. If you are interested in volunteering at Atria for the fall semester, please fill out this survey.

AWMPA

The American Muslim Women Physicians Association is holding another Health Fair. Come volunteer and help to provide some basic health services and information to the community. With the  high cost of health care and spiking increase of drug costs it is important to prevent diseases in the first place or detect them early. This is a great place to network with healthcare professionals, medical students and other pre medical students. Activities may include assisting with vitals and testing, assisting with registration, directing traffic or anything else that is needed. See attached flyer for more details.
